The jobs people actually call us for
Most of these are done well inside the first hour. If yours is bigger, we say so on WhatsApp before we come out rather than discovering it in your hallway.
TV wall mounting
Bracket fitted level and into something that will hold it, cables routed out of sight, and the set tested before we leave. We check what the wall is made of first.
Furniture assembly
Wardrobes, beds, desks, shelving units. We bring the tools the instructions assume you own, and take the packaging out with us.
Shelves and mirrors
Hung straight, at the height you want, with fixings chosen for the wall rather than whatever came in the box. Heavy mirrors get anchors that suit the load.
Curtain rails and blinds
New rails and tracks, or refitting one that has pulled out of the plasterboard. Roller and Venetian blinds cut to the drop where the product allows it.
Minor plumbing
Dripping taps, a mixer that needs swapping, a slow drain, a leaking trap under the sink, a wobbling toilet seat or a shower head that has furred up.
Minor electrical
Light fittings, ceiling lamps, dimmers, sockets and switches swapped like for like, extractor fans and a tripping circuit traced back to what is causing it.
Doors and locks
A door that catches on the frame, a handle that has gone loose, hinges that squeak or sag, a lock or cylinder replaced, door closers adjusted.
General repairs
Cupboard doors that no longer close, drawer runners, silicone that has gone black, holes filled, a towel rail back on the wall. Bring us the list.
How much does a handyman cost in Dubai?
Three numbers, and that is the whole rate card. AED 119 buys the first hour on site. After that it is AED 59 for each additional 30 minutes. If we need to go and buy the parts, that is AED 40 on top of what the parts themselves cost.
There is no call-out fee bolted on to the front of it, and no weekend surcharge. Small jobs stay small: most single tasks finish inside the first hour, which means most visits cost AED 119.

The AED 40 is a procurement fee, not the cost of the parts. You pay it once per visit, whatever we have to go and collect. We show you the receipt for the parts themselves.

The clock starts when the work starts
Not when we leave our last job, not while we are looking for parking, and not while we are carrying tools up in the lift. It starts when we begin on your job and stops when we finish.

The first hour is the minimum charge
A ten-minute job and a fifty-minute job both cost AED 119. That is the trade-off for having someone come out to you at all, and it is why it makes sense to save up two or three small jobs for one visit.

After the first hour, time goes in 30-minute blocks
AED 59 each. We do not round a stray five minutes up into a full block, and if the next block is going to be needed we tell you before it starts rather than after it has been billed.

You hear the estimate before anything is opened up
We look at the job, tell you how long we think it will take and what parts it needs, and you decide. If it turns out to be a bigger job than it looked, we stop and talk to you instead of running the clock on.

What the AED 40 material fee actually buys
Someone else’s afternoon. If the job needs a mixer tap, a specific bracket or the right anchors for your wall, we drive to the shop, work out which one you need and bring it back. AED 40 covers doing that, once per visit. The parts are charged at what they cost, with the receipt.

Tools, tidy-up and a 3-day warranty are in the price
We arrive with our own tools, we sheet the area if there is drilling involved, and we take the dust and the packaging with us. If something we fitted moves or fails within 3 days, we come back for it.

How much does a handyman cost in Dubai?
Homezy charges AED 119 for the first hour on site, then AED 59 for each additional 30 minutes. If we source the parts for you there is a one-off AED 40 material procurement fee per visit, plus whatever the parts cost. There is no separate call-out fee and no weekend surcharge, so a single small job is usually AED 119 all in.
What if the job takes less than an hour?
You still pay for the hour. That is the honest answer, and it is the same for every hourly trade. The way to get value out of it is to line up two or three jobs for the same visit - mounting the TV, tightening the door handle and swapping the shower head is one hour of work, not three.
Do I buy the parts, or do you?
Either. If you already have the bracket, the tap or the light fitting, we just fit it and there is no material fee. If you would rather not spend an afternoon in a hardware shop, we go and get the right part for AED 40, and charge the part at cost with the receipt. Tell us which you prefer when you message us.
What counts as minor plumbing or minor electrical?
Work that stays within your apartment or villa and does not need the building’s services touched: taps, mixers, traps, shower heads, slow drains, light fittings, switches, sockets and extractor fans. Rerouting pipework, opening walls, working on the main distribution board or anything requiring building management approval is outside what we do, and we will tell you straight away rather than start it.
Can you mount a TV on a Dubai apartment wall?
Yes, and the first thing we do is work out what the wall actually is. A lot of Dubai apartments have plasterboard partitions where you expect blockwork, and a bracket rated for concrete will pull straight out of it. We check, use the right anchors for what is behind the plaster, mount it level and hide the cables. If the wall genuinely will not take the set, we tell you before drilling rather than after.
